Sign-up today for the 2010 Spartan Scramble Golf Tournament & Scholarship Drive, to be held on Saturday, May 8th at Frisco Lakes Country Club in Frisco, TX! Our 11th annual event features some changes based on feedback from past years. In addition to leveraging Frisco Lakes’ new clubhouse which will open in April, we’ll have an unprecedented and growing selection of raffle prizes and top-notch auction items donated by area companies and individuals. The featured silent auctions item is a week-long Hawaiian vacation, while the grand prize winner of the raffle will enjoy a first class weekend for two in Las Vegas, both with airfare, lodging and more included. Finally, we’re taking steps to shorten the golf day – from registration to completion of the awards reception. Immediately following play, the <60 minute awards reception and dinner at the new clubhouse will recognize tournament winners and announce auction and pre-drawn raffle winners.

Frisco Lakes was recently recognized by The Dallas Morning News as one of the premier public golf courses in Texas – and feedback from players in last years’ tournament was overwhelmingly positive. Add this year the new clubhouse, convenient paved parking and what should be beautiful May weather and this is an event for all local Spartans to enjoy.

The Spartan Scramble serves as our primary fundraising event of the year for the DFW MSU Alumni Club scholarship endowment at MSU. The scholarship benefits DFW-area students attending Michigan State. The current scholarship recipient, Velora Hall of Frisco, TX, was named to the Dean’s List after her first semester at MSU and recently joined us for the MSU-michigan Basketball watching party at Blackfinn!

Sign-up as a team or individual today! If you register and submit payment before April 9th, you can save $5 per player with a discounted $80 entry fee. And save an additional $5 per player by signing up as a foursome for $300 ($75 per player)! We’re also taking pre-payments this year for mulligans and raffle tickets. Registration will begin at 11:30 with a shotgun start at 1pm. Dinner-only packages are available for non-golfers at $15 for the awards reception to begin at approx. 6pm.
